Building on a year of transformative growth in 2025, foodpanda, Pakistan’s leading online delivery platform, kicked-off its 2026 road safety campaign with a special helmet distribution ceremony aimed at enhancing the safety and well-being of its delivery partners. Following the initial launch of this initiative in Karachi recently, the program has now been successfully extended to Islamabad, where high-quality, certified protective helmets were distributed to active delivery partners in the presence of local authorities.

With a renewed focus on ‘Rider Care’, the helmet distribution serves as the opening milestone in a comprehensive roadmap designed to set new industry standards for occupational safety in the gig economy. This move reinforces foodpanda’s commitment to ensuring that its fleet is equipped with the best possible gear to navigate urban traffic safely.

“Our growth in 2025 was driven by the commitment and resilience of our delivery riders. As we step into the new year, our foremost priority is to make our logistics network the safest in the country,” said Ahsan Malik, Head of Logistics at foodpanda Pakistan. “The helmet distribution initiative marks a significant operational milestone. By providing our fleet with certified protective gear, we are making a direct investment in the safety and well-being of the individuals who keep our delivery network running — ensuring they return home safely every single day.”

In addition to providing physical safety gear, foodpanda is rolling out mandatory road safety workshops in close partnership with local traffic police authorities, fostering a strong culture of responsible and disciplined driving.

This initiative builds on a series of impactful safety programs launched in recent years, which led to a noticeable rise in safety awareness across the fleet. By placing rider health and safety at the forefront, foodpanda is strengthening the foundation for a more resilient, dependable service for customers in 2026 and the years ahead.
