The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), continues to advance its flagship development initiatives with a strong focus on quality infrastructure, timely execution and public safety. In line with this commitment, CEO CBD Punjab, Imran Amin, conducted a comprehensive visit to the authority’s key ongoing projects to review construction progress, assess operational preparedness and evaluate the precautionary measures implemented for the ongoing monsoon season.
During the visit, the CEO CBD Punjab inspected CBD Vertex, CBD Route 47, CBD Walk and Pakistan’s first and largest IT city, CBD NSIT City. He was accompanied by Executive Director Technical Riaz Hussain, Director Project Management Asif Iqbal, Director Construction Asif Babar, Director Engineering Omar Hayat, Project Manager CBD NSIT City Yasir Saifullah, officials of NESPAK, and project contractors.
A significant focus of the visit remained the authority’s monsoon preparedness. CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin appreciated the dedicated efforts of the engineering teams, consultants, and contractors in developing a modern infrastructure and drainage system that successfully withstood 263 mm rainfall. While several major areas of Lahore experienced severe waterlogging, CBD Route 47 remained fully operational and accessible for traffic, reflecting the effectiveness of the authority’s engineering standards and proactive maintenance measures.
At CBD Vertex, the CEO reviewed the ongoing finishing works, including the tile installation on the building elevation and epoxy flooring, directing the project team to maintain the highest standards of workmanship while ensuring timely completion.
During his visit to CBD NSIT City, the CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin instructed contractors to further accelerate the pace of development. He was briefed that work on the main park and public realm is progressing according to plan, construction of the entrance gate pillars and columns is underway and asphalt work on the main entrance patch has been successfully completed.
Imran Amin emphasized that all contractors working at CBD NSIT City must maintain complete symmetry and uniformity in construction quality across the project. He further directed the project teams to enhance green spaces throughout the development and carefully plan working hours to minimize disruptions caused by the ongoing monsoon season while ensuring the safety and productivity of the workforce.
