The Central Business District (CBD) Punjab has announced impressive progress on its flagship project, CBD NSIT City, marking a defining moment in Pakistan’s journey toward digital transformation. As the country’s first and largest dedicated IT City, NSIT City has now achieved 38% completion of its asphalt base course, showcasing steady advancement in developing the country’s most ambitious technology-driven infrastructure.

Planned as a futuristic ecosystem where innovation and enterprise thrive, CBD NSIT City aims to serve as the beating heart of Pakistan’s digital economy, a space where technology firms, startups, and research institutions will collaborate to shape the industries of tomorrow. Under Package 1, significant progress has been recorded: roadwork at 32%, subgrade at 79%, sub-base at 54%, Water Bound Macadam (WBM) at 38%, and asphalt base at 8%. Alongside this, major strides have been made in utilities development, including 73% completion of drainage, 50% of sewerage, and 5% of the water supply network, setting a strong foundation for a modern, sustainable city.

CBD Punjab CEO Imran Amin emphasized the long-term vision behind the project, stating, “CBD NSIT City isn’t just about roads and buildings – it’s about building an environment that empowers Pakistan’s brightest minds. Our goal is to establish a global-standard IT ecosystem that nurtures innovation, attracts investment, and propels Pakistan into the digital future.”

At the core of NSIT City lies the Celestia IT & Office Tower, envisioned as the iconic centerpiece of the development. Designed to host IT companies, startups, data centers, and innovation labs, Celestia will serve as a collaborative hub for entrepreneurs, investors, and researchers, bridging creativity with commerce.

This progress also reflects Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision of transforming Punjab into a technology powerhouse. Her leadership has positioned CBD Punjab as not just a commercial developer but a driver of digital growth and urban modernization.

As development accelerates, CBD NSIT City is emerging as more than a physical project, it is a symbol of Pakistan’s readiness to embrace a knowledge-based economy. Each milestone brings the country closer to a connected, innovative, and globally competitive future, a future where Pakistan is not just consuming technology but creating it.
