Chery Master Pakistan marked a major milestone with its ceremony held at its plant site in National Industrial Park, Port Qasim, Karachi. During the event, Chery Master leadership reviewed construction progress and officially announced the start of CKD operations in January 2026, signaling the beginning of a new era in Pakistan’s automotive landscape.
Chery Auto, China’s No.1 auto export brand, has established itself as a global automotive leader, with a presence in over 120 countries across Europe, South America, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Russia, and Australia. With over 17 million users worldwide and 8 international R&D centers, Chery continues to set new benchmarks in technology, quality, and innovation. The brand is ranked No. 1 in J.D. Power’s Quality Ratings among all Chinese brands. In addition, Chery’s Joint Venture collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover in China has played a vital role in advancing its technological and design capabilities.
At the core of Chery’s innovation lies its groundbreaking CSH (Chery Super Hybrid) technology, one of the most advanced PHEV systems in the world. Chery’s PHEV platform is designed as a purpose-built PHEV first platform, unlike many other PHEVs that are retrofitted on internal combustion engine platforms. This CSH technology keeps the battery safe, providing better protection, insulation, thermal, and cooling management. Delivering a record-breaking 98.5% mechanical transmission efficiency, it offers an exceptional fuel economy of just 1.3L/100 km when the battery is above 30% charge. The system delivers an unmatched range, offering 100–170 km in pure electric mode and a combined range of 1,200–1,400 km. Designed for durability, Chery’s Super Hybrid batteries are IP68-rated for dust and water resistance and are rigorously tested to withstand temperatures from -35°C to +60°C, ensuring performance even in the harshest conditions.
Globally, Chery’s Tiggo lineup stands as its most popular and successful series, with the Tiggo 8 leading as its bestselling SUV. In Pakistan, Chery Master is set to introduce four models from this flagship range, the all-new Tiggo Cross, Tiggo 7, Tiggo 8, and Tiggo 9, all to be locally assembled at the Karachi facility starting January 2026, bringing world-class SUVs and cutting-edge PHEV technology to Pakistani consumers.
Speaking at the ceremony, Samir Malik, CEO of Master Auto Engineering, shared, “We are proud to partner with China’s No.1 auto export brand, Chery Automobile Ltd., and even more excited for Pakistanis to experience the future of mobility with Chery’s Super PHEV technology. With our state-of-the-art New Energy Vehicle plant, we aim to deliver the most advanced and latest NEV technology, bringing exceptional value and world-class quality to our consumers. Master Group’s investment is not just about building cars; it’s about shaping the future of Pakistan’s automotive industry, creating opportunities, and training a workforce of over 2,000 on the latest NEV technologies.”
The Chery Master manufacturing facility spans over 60 acres and represents a USD 150 million investment. Alongside production readiness, the company is developing a nationwide dealership network, with 10 dealerships across 7 major cities set to launch in 2026. Chery Master also remains committed to the existing Chery users, with service and spare parts operations commencing in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad by Q1 2025.
