The Pakistan Petroleum Exploration & Production Companies Association (PPEPCA) has elected Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak, Managing Director and CEO of Oil & Gas Development Company (OGDC), as Chairman; Mr. Andrzej Kaczorowski, Managing Director of ORLEN S.A. (POGC), as Senior Vice Chairman; and Mr. Ali Murtaza Abbas, Regional Vice President of MOL Pakistan B.V., as Vice Chairman.<\/p>\n

The elections to the Executive Committee were held at PPEPCA\u2019s 33rd Annual General Meeting on September 28, 2026, while the office bearers were elected at the Executive Committee meeting on October 26, 2026.<\/p>\n

The Executive Committee congratulated the newly elected office bearers and expressed confidence in their leadership and commitment to advancing the interests of Pakistan\u2019s exploration and production (E&P) sector. The Committee particularly welcomed Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak\u2019s appointment, recognizing OGDC\u2019s position as Pakistan\u2019s largest oil and gas exploration and production company and its significant contribution to the country\u2019s energy sector. It expressed confidence that his leadership would strengthen industry representation, promote constructive engagement with government and regulatory authorities, and help address key challenges facing the sector.<\/p>\n

The Committee also congratulated Mr. Andrzej Kaczorowski and Mr. Ali Murtaza Abbas on their respective appointments, expressing confidence that their experience and active participation would further strengthen industry collaboration, encourage investment and support sustainable growth in the oil and gas sector. The newly elected leadership expressed its commitment to working collectively through PPEPCA to represent member companies effectively and advance the common interests of the industry.<\/p>\n

PPEPCA Secretary General Mr. Ibrar Khan reaffirmed the Secretariat\u2019s commitment to working closely with the newly elected leadership and Executive Committee to advance the Association\u2019s mandate, strengthen engagement with government and regulatory authorities, and address key policy and operational challenges facing the E&P sector, with a focus on investment, sustainable growth and Pakistan\u2019s energy<\/a> security.<\/p>\n

The Executive Committee also paid tribute to the outgoing Chairman, Mr. Masood Nabi, Managing Director and CEO of Government Holdings<\/a> (Private) Limited, for his dedicated leadership, unwavering support and outstanding efforts to strengthen PPEPCA and effectively represent the E&P industry\u2019s challenges and concerns before relevant government forums during his tenure.<\/p>\n
